AquaDucks is the Club’s swimming provider since 1989. More than 10.000 children have learned how to swim at the Hollandse Club. AquaDucks provides a unique programme with swimming classes for adults and children such as parent-child swimming, pre-school, learn to swim, competition training, waterpolo training and Aquafit. The unique programme is a blend of the best European, American and Australian teaching techniques.

The main goal of the programme is to instil confidence and enhance water safety knowledge using a child-centred approach. Safety comes first and progression is made at the child’s pace, with the coach carefully monitoring to ensure that pleasure and confidence are not compromised at any time.

Swimming is an important lifesaving skill that everyone should possess. It is healthy for your physical wellbeing and lots of fun.

THE PROGRAMS

Parent & Child

In this parent-accompanied programme your child will discover the water world through play and songs. Including submersion and personal skills, the aim of this program is for your child to feel happy and safe in the water.

Preschool

This programme focuses on personal safety, health/stamina building, rough motor skills and breath control. Lessons are conducted in a fun and encouraging way to stimulate a lifelong love for the water.

Learn To Swim

Your child will focus on the perfection of the 4 strokes: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly. A combination of stamina building and water safety in a fun way to maximise learning.

Competitive / Development (CD) Squad

To access this class, your child has reached LTS Proficiency 3 and masters breaststroke, freestyle and the basics of backstroke and butterfly. To achieve the best results, we recommend attending at least two sessions a week.

Water Polo

These lessons focus on techniques for beginners to advanced players. Divided into 3 age groups, beginners play in friendly matches, and the advanced teams join the more serious tournaments. To join, children need to master breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke.

Adults’ Learn to Swim

This class is for adults who want to acquire basic swimming skills and/or competent swimmers aiming to improve their stroke techniques.

Adults’ Masters/Triathlon Programme

Ideal for Ironman or Triathlon swimmers working on race techniques and theory for open-water swimming. This class focuses on stroke efficiency, endurance, strength and speed/pacing.

AquaFit

Looking to burn calories or to beat the heat? Try out one of the AquaFit classes. Focusing on cardio, strength and resistance, this programme is one of the most therapeutic sessions and helps you burn up to 350-400 calories.
